harpist    FLUTIST

Liza Jensen has been shaped by music her whole life.  Coming from a musical family she picked up the harp and flute as naturally as it is to breathe.  Her award winning performances began only after a year of playing at the age of twelve and has not stopped since.  At the age of 15, she was the youngest to be selected to perform in a masterclass for Jean-Pierre Rampal. Her focus and drive has taken her to perform across the continent and internationally.  She has studied harp at Eastman School of Music under Kathleen Bride, SUNY Purchase under Emily Mitchell, and flute at Central Washington University with Dr. Hal Ott.  She is a co founder and member of The New York Harp Duo in which she and Dr. Jasmine Cowin recently gave a concert for the German Consulate to the United Nations performing one world premier and two United States premiers of German composers revealed.

Liza's drive and inherent curiosity has also led her to understand the inner workings of the harp.  She has studied under the tutelage of master harp builders Pat Dougal and John Pratt.  Again, her natural abilities took reign and she is the only woman in the world to be invited by Jakez Francois, the president of Camac Harps, the most innovative harp manufacturer in the world to become an international technician for their company. When Liza isn't globe trotting, she resides in Brooklyn, New York where she is  a harp and flute instructor, performing artist, harp technician and the manager for Harps - International, NYC.
